The Greater Victoria BC Real Estate Market

Recently, there has been a lot of positive media circling around about the Greater Victoria Region. Take for example, the recent article in the Victoria Buzz about the Agents Choice Awards. These awards are voted on by travel agents. Victoria, British Columbia, Canada was ranked as the 5th best city in Canada!

“This year’s awards prove we are top of mind among people whose job is selling vacations to potential visitors,” says Paul Nursey, President and CEO of Tourism Victoria.

Then there is the article published in the Victoria Times Colonist from the The Wall Street Journal titled, "U.S. view: ‘Sleepy’ Victoria a real-estate bargain."

"... the story said that the Victoria housing market is waking up. We know that it’s been awake for a while. Just ask anyone who has tried to find a single-family house in the core in the past few years. Our market is sizzling hot and ..."

All in all, the more people talking about The Greater Victoria Region creates a positive real estate environment for realtors, home sellers and buyers. Below I have posted a breakdown of the real estate statistics for the month of July 2017 shared online by the Victoria Real Estate Board.

More insight into the housing market is always a good thing for realtors, home sellers and buyers. It is more important now, more than ever, to share information and to keep oneself up to speed on the ever changing market conditions and trends. And one trend is that the Victoria housing market is building up momentum.

"The good news for buyers is that inventory is slowly starting to build," adds President Balabanian. "But buyers can still anticipate multiple offer scenarios in certain high demand neighbourhoods where inventory is being bought at a more rapid pace.
